Well the donor unit for #2004 can in the mail this week.

The Donor Unit:

After soaking in 91% alcohol for a few hours yielded a nice clean surface to work with:

I also decided to save the Cannon and Company cab for the LIRC GP39-2 build I am going to start soon. I hope to get a little more work on #2004 done this weekend and hopefully it will be in the paint shop by Friday or Saturday.

Louisville and Indiana Railroad GP38-3 #2004

This freshly repainted locomotive has inspired me to start another project. The 2004 is painted in a single stripe Pennsy scheme to reflect the Louisville and Indaina Railroad's heritage.

The Prototype

The model will start out as a Atlas Master GP38, with DCC equipted. The following detail parts will most likely be added:

Cannon Dash 2 Thinwall Cab
Air Conditioner
Ditch Light, not sure is working lights or not...
Correct Head Light
Coupler Lift Bar
Air Lines

Tonight I have started to assemble the Cannon and Company cab and added the correct headlight.

The Blog Goes Live

Instead of posting my build threads on at least 2 if not 3 forums I have decided  to start this blogger account. I will post pictures of of my current builds and also pictures of the Purdue Railroad Club Layout and my personal layout.
